Day 6: Resist rewards

Resist the temptation to reward yourself after a great workout or a few days of healthy eating.

This is tough because rewards have become a part of good behavior – do something nice and you’ll be rewarded. But what if we took the rewards out and instead let good health be the reward? Yes, it’s boring, but it won’t screw with your success.

Instead, allow for a cheat day. Pick one day a week as your day to loosen the reins because you’ve chosen it to be, not because you were good all week. When we stop thinking that we deserve a treat, we stop stepping back into old habits.

Ditch the rewards and allow for a cheat day – you may find it helps create balance.
