The 3-Minute Challenge: A Daily Practice to Create Crystal-Clear Goals

The only kind you can achieve is the crystal-clear kind.


This is not a fitness challenge, but a mental one — one that will set us up to achieve some serious life goals this year… you interested?

This month we’re working on creating a crystal-clear vision of what you want to accomplish this year — a goal that gives you goosebumps — and make it a reality.

It’s well within our powers to achieve great things — things that have eluded us or have elicited fear, therefore keeping us stuck, for far too long.

If you’re feeling like you want to lose weight so you can feel sexy, strong and love the body you see in the mirror — rather than inspect under harsh lighting all its bumps and dimples — this is where we begin.

Or if you’re ready to find your fitness groove so you can feel focused and accomplished every single day — because working out religiously has that effect — this is how we begin.

It’s time to feel good, so what’s your story? What do you want to see happen in this fine new year? 

Create your vision and focus steadily on it.

Your vision creates your future. 

Visualizing is a mighty tool to have in your arsenal. In fact, we use it often without even realizing it. Think about when you’re driving, you get into your car knowing exactly where you want to go.

If you were to close your eyes, you could even envision your destination — maybe it’s the market, or school pick-up, or Starbucks. When you’re driving your car, you’re basically keeping your gaze looking forward, maneuvering the steering wheel in the direction you want to go.

Your destination is clear in your mind. Even when there are multiple stops, you devise a plan on how to navigate in the most succinct and efficient way possible.

Life isn’t so different, except you’re the car and the driver.

So where are you heading? Do you have a clear, and accurate vision of where you want to be six months from now?

If not, why not?

How else are you going to love your body, get into the routine of daily fitness, or whatever aspiring life goals you have for yourself?

If you don’t have a clear vision which you can focus on and direct your actions to move toward, where you going? Where are you gonna end up?

“Energy flows where attention goes.” Steadying your sights on a clear and detailed vision will have you moving in that direction.

The 3-Minute Challenge

This month I’m introducing the 3-minute challenge. Each week, we’re going to take 3-minutes a day to bring our goals into focus, so they become crystal clear.

This week we’ll set a daily timer for 3-minutes. During those 3-minutes I want you to close your eyes and with laser-focus begin visualizing the broad strokes of your future.

Each day we’re going to add in more detail so that by the end of the first week, we’ll each have a visually vibrant image of our future and see how we perfectly fit into it, exactly as we want.

You in? If so, we begin right away!

Find a comfy and quiet spot, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and begin painting an image of what you want your life to look like six months from now. Go crazy with it, fill it with all the things you want in your life to make it your best life!

Repeat this practice every day for one week, adding in more detail as you progress. (Tip: write this down when you’re done so you have it for future reference.)

Next week, we’ll talk about how we’re going to use that crystal clear vision and create intentions powerful enough to move us closer into alignment.
